Summer 2020

Shai Hodges is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Global Sports Business from Rutgers University, where she also received her Bachelors of Science in Sport Management. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Shai was able to travel to Kenya and teach youth sports and one day hopes to start her own global youth sports development program!! She absolutely loves her mom and grandmother and she enjoys to travel as much as possible.


Sarah Ortiz is a Sports Programs Graduate Assistant at Georgia Southern University where she is pursuing her Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration. Prior to her time at GSU, Sarah obtained her undergraduate degree in Integrative Animal Biology from University of South Florida. Originally from Tampa, she is the youngest of three, loves to spend time hiking and camping, and taught herself how to juggle! On top of all that, Sarah has a pet snake and fosters all types of animals.


JC Scott is currently the Sports Programs Graduate Assistant at the University of South Florida where he is pursuing his Masters in Higher Education. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska where he went to Creighton University and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In addition to gaming, JC enjoys wakeboarding, volleyball, and golf. He also once placed 1st in a powerlifting competition!


Markus Sidwell was born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany and formerly participated in the youth camps that Recreation Readiness supervise in Wiesbaden! He is pursuing his degree in Quantitative Economics with a minor in Computer Science at Lycoming College where he also plays football and lacrosse! Markus is also an Eagle Scout and loves to code.

Summer 2019

Mia Stewart was born and raised in Montana. Mia currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cornell University, and is pursuing a Master’s in Construction Engineering and Management from Virginia Tech University. At Virginia Tech, Mia works as a Graduate Assistant for Intramural Sports, as well as working as an officials for multiple sports at the high school level. Heading to Germany last summer, Mia already had 26 states and 10 different countries she had already visited! Mia is a well-rounded athlete, bringing knowledge from every sport and excelling in soccer.


Terence Garcia was born and raised in Fresno, California. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge Terence moved across the country to the University of South Florida, where he is currently working as a Graduate Assistant for Sport Clubs and pursuing a Master’s in Exercise Science. Terence is very family-oriented an in his free time, Terence loves to workout, play sports, and eat (his favorite is Mexican food!). Terence brought to Germany his extensive knowledge in Basketball and Fitness!


Danny Kapps was born and raised in Bellmore, New York. Choosing to stay close to home, Danny attended Farmingdale State College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management. Danny currently is pursuing his Masters in Physical Education from Adelphi University, where he serves as the Graduate Assistant for Student Development. Danny has played many sports, including basketball, football, and volleyball, but his expertise is in baseball.


Mia Griner was born in Los Angeles, California, moving across the country to West Palm Beach, Florida while still in school. Mia attended the University of Central FLorida, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science before choosing to attend Kennesaw State University, where she is pursuing her Master’s in Sport Management and working as a Graduate Assistant for Intramural Sports. While Mia loves to play and officiate soccer, you can usually find her on the fields playing Ultimate Frisbee.
