Are you a college student or recent graduate that has a passion for sports, recreation, and education? Do you enjoy cultivating safe and fun learning experiences for children? Have you ever wanted to spend the summer in Europe? If so, WE WANT YOU!

Recreation Readiness, in partnership with the U.S. Army’s Family and MWR program, will be offering internship opportunities for Summer 2022. Selected interns will gain recreation and youth programming experience through their work with Child and Youth Services of U.S. Army Garrisons in Germany. Interns will be primarily responsible for organizing and executing weekly sports and recreation camps for the children of eligible military and civilian families. Roundtrip travel, lodging, travel insurance, and a stipend will be provided.

Interns must commit to all travel dates and must be available for the entirety of the internship.
– Anticipated Starting Date: June 3, 2022
– Anticipated Ending Date: August 12, 2022

Mandatory Requirements Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
‣ At least 18 years of age
‣ First Aid / CPR certification that remains current throughout the duration of the internship
‣ Must possess US passport by March 1, 2022 that remains valid throughout the duration of the internship
‣ Must submit to and pass multiple background checks
‣ Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination
‣ 2.5 GPA
‣ Experience working in education, recreation, youth activities, and/or related field
‣ Current undergraduate or graduate student, or completed Bachelor’s Degree
‣ 3.0 GPA
‣ Pursuing a career in physical education, recreation, K-12 education, and/or related field
‣ Current graduate student who will remain enrolled in Fall 2020
